What is Flag Day?
Flag Day is a flag-related holiday. This day is specific to respective nations. This day is created to celebrate the nation’s adaptation of its flag along with other historical events related to its native national flags.
Flag Day was first adopted by the US on June 14, 1777. In American history, the day marks the respectful celebration of the adoption of the stars and stripes as the official flag of The United State. Many American celebrate Flag Day by displaying Red, White, and Blue in front of homes and offices.
Flag Day in India is observed in the form of the Armed Forces Flag Day which was established on December 7 in 1949. This day is especially dedicated to the Indian armed forces personnel. This day is celebrated in a way where Indian military arranges various entertainment activities such as shows, carnivals, dramas, traditional and cultural programs are held and funds are also raised from the people of India for the welfare of the army, air force and navy.
