We’ve all heard that LinkedIn is no less than a ‘goldmine’ for our careers, but is it actually? And if so, how and why?
LinkedIn hosts more than 600 million professional profiles, which means nearly an unlimited supply of network connections and job opportunities for you. A professional community of this size had never existed until now.
Moreover, a strong LinkedIn profile can vouch for you just like “an elevator pitch”.
How is LinkedIn playing a key role in getting an internship and a job?
Your network is your net worth. Part of expanding your network is connecting with people you don’t know. Using ‘advanced people search’ can help you, not only to find people whom you would like to have informational interviews with but also to identify companies that you might not be aware of.
Once you’ve gained a valuable network, snoop. Snooping is the best way to use LinkedIn, but only after you’ve forged good connections.

· The smart analytics that keeps you informed about your progress — how much knowledge you’ve adopted, level of engagement, and more.
· You can download the materials for you to complete the course at your own pace.

Getting the most out of LinkedIn isn’t just about using it when you want something specific. In general, it’s good to remain active even when you don’t have a grand purpose. Remind your contacts that you’re doing good work by regularly sharing links relevant to others in your industry, keeping your profile updated.
It’s important to remember that it takes time, persistence and consistency to not only provide something of value to other members but also develop an audience, influence, and network.
