Narmada NavNirman Abhiyan: This organisation is a part of Narmada Bachao Andolan, and
concentrates on providing primary school level education to those adivasi children who hail from

families affected by the Sardar Sarovar Dam construction. Apart from this NNNA also works on
issues related to tribal affairs, legal advocacy, environment and forest, health and family welfare.

The tribal communities affected by the dam construction were rehabilitated from the original
villages in Narmada Valley to rehabilitation sites in Maharashtra and Madhya pradesh. As these
families lost their source of livelihood which was agriculture, they started doing daily wage work
on farms owned by others and on construction sites. But the global health crisis of COVID-19
affected the livelihoods of these communities again and they were hence, in need of Funds.

At Mitti Ke Rang, we started with a COVID-19 community support fund raising, as an emergency response — to help provide a safety net to families. This will help them in surviving the next 21 days. We aim to directly support these 2000 families by providing a minimum wage, through transferring the same into their accounts or partner with local NGO, Organisation, Fellow or a Volunteer and Support them with groceries.

This is about getting money in the hands of people who need our help.
