A Trade War
Many suggest that World War 3 will not be fought with guns and bombs but will be much more destructive. Trade war, might sound like something which is quite harmless to humans but can destroy countries in just a few years and can even bring developed countries to their knees within months.
A trade war is when countries due to political, economic, or any other issues decide to create tariffs or other trade barriers against each other in response to trade barriers created by the other party. One of the most recent examples being the US-China trade conflict which happened in 2018.
It looks like a better option than the actual war where people die and families are ruined and such but in reality, a Trade war affects the lives of common people much faster than an actual war (which is not better in any sense at all). The economy of a country falls at a very high rate and so things start getting expensive, in a day and age where no country is 100% self-sufficient in ever aspect a Trade war between two countries can even affect the food supplies, natural resources, and other necessary stuff which act as the raw material for major or even minor industries of a country. So, it can stop the growth of developing countries as they will not get proper supplies to maintain their rate of development. And not only countries which are part of these trade wars get affected by this but also other countries as well directly or indirectly cause they might not get any help from those countries anymore as they are already having a crisis and are also short on supplies, also if a country not a part of the trade war supports either one of them they risk of ruining there relationship with the other country for a very long time and which can lead to a war of any sort between these two countries now if things get too heated. If you look at the concept of Trade war there is no positive side to it not even a single silver lining in long term.
As Xi Jinping said himself self “No one will emerge as the winner in a trade war”.
While we all seek for world peace and countries to maintain peace, we also strive to act civilized to live and let live.
